TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - The January current account surplus narrowed to 249.6 bln yen from 619.2 bln a year earlier, the Ministry of Finance said.
The ministry gave the following details, compared with figures from a year earlier:
Current a/c surplus - 249.6 bln yen vs 619.2 bln
Trade surplus - 64.8 bln yen vs 644.3 bln
Exports - 3.5 trln yen vs 3.4 trln
Imports - 3.4 trln yen vs 2.7 trln
Goods, service account deficit - 431.7 bln yen vs surplus 245.1 bln
Capital, financial account - outflow 752.9 bln yen vs outflow 751.4 bln.
